Leading Economist, World Economic Forum (WEF) Roberto Crotti in an interview with RIA Novosti predicted that the coronavirus pandemic will accelerate the Fourth Industrial Revolution, because it will lead to the digitalization of economies. However specialist considers, that at the same time their separation can occur.

“Trade is expected to decline, although it is unclear how for a long time this effect will continue along with the movement of people in while production and distribution chains are likely to reformatted, “said Crotty.


At the same time, the WEF economist expressed doubt that under the conditions more than half of global companies will be able to spread coronavirus completely switch to remote work. Some of them in principle it’s impossible to digitalize, and other companies have delays with further development of a flexible organization.

On the eve of the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva stated that the world economy is now experiencing worse recession than during global economic crisis.
